its hard to know, i'd like to say that its should make more power up top 150bhp is tops for 44 idfs , but it could be that is all the heads will flow with the camshaft thats in it, we will find out.

Flipping heck that's some power - standard brakes be up for the job?

It's a pity 16v heads are very hard to come by for these engines! I remember seeing some somewhere that used the existing pushrod setup but had a sort of dual rocker arrangement.

I'm sure I saw somewhere some clever dick had DOHC Subaru heads on an aircooled engine. I wonder how well it worked?

Yeah I was reading about that there too. The thing is though, they still need to be watercooled, and maybe you could manage with a motorbike cooling system for just the heads but it would still be a ballache, not to mention the cam belt arrangement and custom intake and exhaust fabrication.
