nearly trev,

you may have a slower car than you competitor, but you launched first giving you a headstart on your sleepy friend next door.
He's now catching you and past the 8th say, he's almost reeled you in, you click the beams at the end of the quarter first and have run say a 13.88, your friend next door has run a 13.2, but because he was eyeballing the "momentum motorsport" crew sluts on the sidelines he forgot to check the green light, thus you pipped him at the post, so thats where your reaction time wins or loses you a race, it does not however have any effect on the elapsed time of your run.

my best run was

13.82 @94.6
reaction was 0.271
60 ft 1.992 sec

the guy in the other lane ran 14.224 @ 105.21 (more than 10mph quicker thru the traps)
reaction. 0.414
60 ft (this is where i beat him) 2.413 sec.

Hope that helps, as I've confused myself now.

Nope ;-)

just checked my slips, i only got 4 printouts of the 6 runs i did.

Best r.t was 0.225

Don't ask me wether thats good or bad, i spent 20 years drunk in a field whilst everyone else was making their shit go fast.

anything under 0.200 is a good reaction time in my opinion. You should really go through consistent staging processes to get an accurate reading of how good your RT is. Are you going on the Green or the Yellow just before the green?

You're obviously not waiting around like Dave anyway! ;)

right, me and dave are out again this sunday at bishops court, only a morning session but with all the mods dave has done to the rear end this week it needs a good run to find the groove, If anyone of you guys fancy a trip down to see what its all about you'd be more than welcome, as mentioned its only a morning session but there is the udc drift series on after lunch (if your into that sort of thing) if that doesn't float your boat we can bog off early, find a pub for some grub and have a good chin wag, you would all be very welcome.

I'm pretty boring britt, you won't miss a thing, would love to get a few more guys out this year for a bit of fun i know times are hard but i tell you what i havnt had any decent work on for 5 months and it quite depressing, that 30 quid entry fee is cheap considering the amount of fun i have.

well............... met up with ben and dave and some of the boys at the track today :) this could be very VERY addivtive! Real old miserable rainy day, but with Ben on times like 14.3 on a greasy track and Dave getting a 15 with about 20% grip on launch, show that what would these boys be capable of on a dry track. Hayabusa engined stretched frame bike doing 10's on that track was mindblowing. Man had serious balls of steel!!!
