the whole idea here is anyone who wants to pitch in on this gets a bargain ; )

it might not reach £2750 but if we put that as a maxium bid and win it we can divide the change and everybody`s happy : )
 
i rang them yesterday the guy said he`d had hundreds of calls . the engine is complete from what he told me , but the exhaust was damaged . carbs and manifolds alone are worth almost a grand
 
As mentioned you can take me down for the steering wheel, horn ring and button, pedal box and ashtray for €600 (as the maximum to get to the referenced max offer). If taillight and semaphores are there I would be interested in those (first refusal).

Does that leave enough for you Coxy?
 
cmon lads we`re nearly there surely someone could use the motor and interior ?

it would be so sweet too to "steal" this car from any interested uk buyers ; )
 
Can we put up a list of who's got dibs on what bits so far and the break down of money, maybe on a percentage basis? I'd take the running boards and wipers for definite. I'd be interested in the engine if its all there and the money is right

Not really but as I said earlier, I'm not screaming for another project but if I could get a real bargain I'd go for it. I'd love to get the body incl panels, etc for €1k max but if it's without ashtray semaphores and a few other hard to get bits etc then I'll leave it to you as you would probably make more use of the bits for your cabrio.
