ruairi when i spoke to the po today he told me the carbs were on the car when he last saw it over a year ago yet he has them for sale right now..... so maybe the ebay seller took his word they were there if he starts getting angry again point this out to him so the blame is directed back at the po

Yeah, it's between the insurer and PO now, he's selling the IDFs for £400 - don't get involved.

Yeah - it is probably not the sellers fault - not ours either though so he should move on and let us off he hook.

Gutted its all gone pear shaped :(

Irregardless of who is to blame for whats transpired (PO or seller) I agree that we should pull out of the sale. There is far too much ambiguity now about the exact contents of the lot and the condition that everything is in. I don't get the impression the seller is even too clued in as to whats there and whats not. Lets hope he's reasonable and doesn't leave a bad remark in Mad Max's feedback, if he does we should take it to a dispute resolution. The item is clearly not as described.

As far as I'm concerned the bidding was for the complete car, it all belonged to the insurers once it was written off,
the PO decided at some point to take some expensive parts that didn't any longer belong to him and sell them separately.

The seller is now the rightful owner of ALL the parts and should take it up with the insurers and Scott, until then no sale.

Don't think the Restowagen guys are too impressed at the thought of the car going to Ireland :ROFLMAO:
Maybe we should tell them it's not coming here and why!

Scott's already stripped it down. Looks real sorry for itself, but it's the start of the revival!!

doubt somebody would leave all the expensive bits on it if they were stripping it down (four months ago)
