Missed you today, didn't recognise you in the new car.
It's not that new...it's almost 60yrs old!
Had some scary moments on the way home trying to keep up with Tsar. There is a little bit of play in the steering wheel and at a 100kph it is manageable but at 120kph it's lethal! Add in some strong winds and you have some very heart stopping moments! Slowing down was not an option!
If I wasn't so shattered I'd be out there right now sorting it out...tomorrow will have to do.

I followed Keith for some of the drive back (after we lost Ian and Kieran behind a camper..), his freshly painted '65 looks fantastic out on the road. Hard to beat the curves of a shiny beetle in the sunshine.
The new plates are much nicer BTW.
Love the 911 Darren, but that hood ornament is a bit OTT.

Edit - I've just noticed there are no spark plug wires. That answers that question...!

I didn't buy it from Beag..I got it from the guy who bought it from Beag. Everyone is getting a turn with it!
I saw you today and was just about to head over when someone else distracted me and when I turned back you had disappeared into the crowd! Nice! Congratulations

What a Great show,and what a venue.The aircooled brigade deffo got the premium spot right under the grandstand,as PJ remarked to me it gave a Sandown feel to the show.Rez and Andrea pumped out the tunes all day,thanks lads.
Of course I had the whole flat tyre incident so I just want to thank everyone who tried to help out especially Donal who went out of his way to try to get me an air pump and returned at the end of the show to make sure I wasn't stuck.WHAT A GUY..It was my first show in 15 years with a bug and really enjoyed it.The standard of cars was excellent and has driven me on to get the 1303 sorted once and for all.
As for the flat tyre,I hobbled down to Patrickswell on it after the show and pumped it at the service station and the fucker is still up:helpme:
And congratulations to all the winners.Absolutely well deserved,stunning cars
