Graham's right, if your not racing an just spectating it's £10 in per person at the gate, on the day and this goes to the guys running Bishopscourt, not to the Drag Day organizers. There is an option to prepay for spectators as part of the drag racing entry at £5 per person, and that money goes to the Drag Day Funds. The entry for the Show an Shine is also a way of saving the show/event goer money and also to contribute the the Drag Day coffers. As far as I can see the advance show bookings are for the lads, an the Bishops court people don't get it.

Ben and Dave are running this event out of their own pocket, they are not in it to become major event promotors. They need X amount of entries to cover the timing equipment an rent of the facility, they are keeping the numbers low so everyone enjoys a full days racing thus they only cover the costs. If they wanted, they could invite 100+ cars an make some money, an we would only get a few runs. The ambulance is there for every bodies safety, as are the fire extinguishers, these have to be paid for somehow. So do posters, prizes, etc, etc.

If you go to any show at Santa Pod, you either pay for a Camping ticket or a day pass, camping could be for one night at the smaller shows an be around £40. Day tickets could be £15. To enter racing is extra, even the run what you brung is £20 an if you queue all day you may only get 2 runs 3 if your bothered wasting the whole show, queuing.

At Spa, it's €38 for an air-cooled vehicle, €50 for a water-cooled, €18 for an adult an €15 for a trailer, so if you drive in to camp on your own, towing a trailer with a beetle on it, it costs €121 for the weekend. I don't know what the entry to do the track day is but i know there's a €100 surcharge this year just to cover the marshalls.. It's 2 nights camping be everything really happens on the Saturday, so it pretty much one day with 2 half days.

How much is Terenure? €10? Mondello is €10 to spectate per person. The Drag Day is a cheap day out for what we get out of it, compared to other events.

We have a special treat for you all.

Barnaby is bringing the "Barn Stormer" to town for our event.

Nowhere in Ireland would you see this monster run, true 8 second potential, although he wont be making full power passes as the track wont support it, he will however be doing full rolling smoky ass burnouts and full power passes to the 8th. JUST FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Its costing him a small fortune in travelling and race fuel so make sure you show him full support on the day!!!!

One last conversation today and i think we have everyone on board :)

David Walsh from Co. Meath will be bringing his Vauxhall Viva to put in a few demo passes. This ex "Pro Rover" series car has been developed and converted to turbocharged rotary power, expect LOTS of tyre smoke, squirly passes and plenty of noise. :)
