oh, I couldn't believe the turnout at this, the first VWSpares.ie show. Unreal amount of VWs & Porsches there. Well done Jon & Co. :)

Absolutely amazing event, and I couldnt believe the turnout. It was a big turnout for a first time event, but for an event in nearly November to have the numbers this show had, I'm astounded. Fair play Jon, Jackie and crew. It couldnt have been better organised. Aoife loved it too. It was her first VW trip and certainly won't be her last. She took plenty of pics so we'll get them uploaded shortly.

Ahhh, what a f&%kin nightmare...back in the door at home again after driving for two hours in the pi55ing rain with no wipers. Left home at 9am in the 356, got nearly as far as Roscrea and the wipers packed in. Spent the best part of an hour trying to sort it out before deciding to turn around and come back home. Didn't fancy trying to make the journey back this evening with no wipers and one 6V headlight...should have taken the daily after all :D

sorry Jon again, I'll pack some Rainex the next time...

Sorry Padraig. It's probably partly my fault you were bringing the 356. I'll keep my mouth shut next time.

The '53 finally found it's way back to Stradbally where it spent it's early years!

A big thanks again to John, Jackie and family for hosting a great event. Wish we could have stayed longer today but had kids in Cork to take trick or treating so had to hit the road early.
Thanks to Tom and Sylvia for the hospitality (and chairs, and table, and X-Factor for Majella). Hope Tom is feeling better.
Thanks to Liam (69bug) for the Vodka (since Majella drank everything she had by 11pm!)
Thanks to Tsar (Dirty1) for the 12v socket for blowing up our inflatable mattress.

We'll get the hang of this camping thing by next year!

Who won the prizes?

Was bulling I missed the show. Had requested it off work months ago, but just couldn't get it off, so between my 2 twelve hour shifts during the weekend I managed to pop down to Castledermot for 2 or 3 hours last night (thank god for the extra hour in bed). Was probably a bad idea coz all I wanted to do was stay then, hehe. The turn out was even good at that stage, and a great atmosphere! Can't wait to see the pic's guys so keep loading up :)

Ah! - now I know who he was - I was talking to him briefly and knew that I'd met him before but wasn't sure where...
