Welcome to Eircooled
Our Ethos is simple; We promote, maintain, and encourage the use of classic aircooled vehicles. We run the club in an open, inclusive, and democratic environment. We encourage all members to have an equal say and part to play in the club.
Tonight is the first Tues of the month. I won't make it myself due to work but weather is good and the evenings long. So get the vw's out for a spin.
Chawkes , 7:30pm.
I wasn't able to get there on time so I don't know if anyone made it at all. We're only a small group at the best of times so if a few of us fall off then there's no meet that month
I hope to be there too in the biscuit tin. I've seen "Brick" out and about a bit and that's good news. Don't know what the weather's up to as I'm locked in a factory but hopefully it will be dry.
Just Pat in his Bay and me in my GT Beetle this month. As we were talking a guy pulled up in his Caddy van and asked to look at the Beetle as he owns one. Pat recognised him and before I knew it he'd gone home to get his Beetle out of the garage. A really nice Tipp reg '73 Beetle.
I remember the car from the early 90's when it was owned by a local family but it disappeared after that. Turns out Eamon bought it in 1999 but is only getting to enjoy it now as he had it in many parts for many years .......................familiar story to us all
Anyone fancy a change of venue this month? How about trying Pa McGrath's pub on the Tipp/Waterford Rd? Loads of parking and they do food if you're peckish! .......oh, and the scaffolding is down now
