Tony, I might be heading up from Cork on Sunday so can go in convoy but still considering going for both days.

There's a hotel nearby where people stayed last year and acquired massive hangovers. Justin springs to mind Was going to introduce myself but he looked too ill so I left him in peace...

i normally take 2 to 2,5 hours

Just under 2 hours on the route I take (no motorways, too boring), you could probably knock a 1/2 hour off taking the M8 to Cahir.
