Mine looks like its on stilts as well - you never notice these things until you park a few in a row...

I had one years ago that someone had dropped at the back and not the front - there wasn't a great view out of the rear view mirror but it looked like it had a huge engine in the back....

The old jettas used to always go like that after a few years cause of the extra weight on the golf rear suspension.
