I can totally relate to the guys' epic road trip as mine has been a tough one: it involved driving to the airport, having a beer, getting on the plane, having a beer, getting off the plane, having a beer, get collected at the airport, having some beer with my dinner........I could go on about having to drive an automatic Volvo to Chimay on friday but I'm not one to complain

Farkin 'ell, Pete text me as he was leaving Ireland looking for directions in Hamburg. He then said they probably wouldn't make it. I wasn't surprised................ Now I am!!! That's some trip!
that was on the 2nd day after we snook into the main square and abandoned bob to the barndoors.

Awesome updates Pete, hope all is going well for you now after your carnage start, brings back many many hazy memories of 10 years touring Europes show scene, i had so many iffy moments, i can certainly relate to your predicaments lol.

the vw museum was very good[rez your card is still there.]
its not located as prominently as you would expect.
met some french outside who said there was free camping outside the castle;
due to this weekends 75th.
so we were sitting in the truck thinking about putting the tent up
and we were invited back to the home of a vw employee.20km away.
they had a t3 multi with 1.9tdi.
he had a 68 doka getting restored which was away for paint.but the 2.4 lump
was sitting in his garage waitin for it.
he had restored a converted a 64 kg for his wife.
he had a 1302s convertable for the daughter
and e type jag and other stuff to play with himself while waitin for the doka.
they were sound.they offered that we could stay for the week till the 25th anniversary.
but we headed on next day to hamburg.
found prototyp museum easily.and is well worth a visit if u anywhere nearby...
we were too late to get to to the miniature wunderland.
so we stayed another night...
and found a hard grounded campin under a railway track
near the centre
we looked a bit odd camped among 99% newish motorhomes
with the tent up in the back of the truck.lol
so we were up early.and down at min wunderland for opening.
also well worth a visit..
and some good priced models in the shop.
went on to holland today.
had to change a wheel on way down
2 bulges appeared on a front
just as well we brought a spare for front and back...
and stay at my sisters tonite
try and get a tyre tomorro.
and on to bug in tommorow eve...

You are not alone either, Chez seized his engine and him and Bobby have been flat out trying to get another one in Belgium, i think Pat sorted one (pat.be)

Great trip Pete, I'm freaked out watching all the EBI updates on Facebook, I can't make it but I'm heading to Spa, everyone who's anyone is at EBI.
