Looks like it could be out the back of bannon's in Ballybay. Looks like ballybay meats (or whatever it's called now in the background of purple squareback) interesting fact that factory was the first place horsemeat was found when the scandal broke a few years ago.

This is cool if you don't want to butcher your front clip to store your spare.

I was looking for that front bumper/spare wheel box when I was doing my diesel conversion. I thought the front of the box could be turned into a grille to get air to a radiator...

5 beetles added to Donedeal today. They add up to over €54k.
Thats almost €11k per car on average. WTF!

Is the price of bugs really going up that much or are the dreamers increasing at a dramatic rate?

I have been wondering the same thing. every day there seems to be another 70s bug popping up at between 6 and 11 k . crazy .
Don't see them selling to quickly though . I think its a case of someone put their beetle up on done deal for €9000 and everyone else
With a bug is chancing their arm . I dont really think its real VW enthusiasts more the type of owner who just buys a beetle for the sake of it
Takes it to a few vintage shows the sort of person who thinks every beetle is the same and worth a fortune
I am not saying I don't think any 70s car isn't worth good money but it would have to be a very good one

thanks kieran your comments are real comforting as mine is a 73

You selling Tony?

I'm not saying anything about anyone's car, 50's, 60's or '70's. Just saying that there are a lot of really expensive bugs out there for sale at the moment and question whether they are really good solid cars or whether people are over-valuing what they have.
