With a bug is chancing their arm . I dont really think its real VW enthusiasts more the type of owner who just buys a beetle for the sake of it
Takes it to a few vintage shows the sort of person who thinks every beetle is the same and worth a fortune

Most do look over priced alright, but if you are to get a good one thats been looked after and has had all the work done then the price is about right i'd say. Rebuilding a beetle or any oher old car is not cheap and you would not have much change from 10k after refurbing one from scratch. Getting stuff like welding and painting done is major expensive especially if you want it done well. And all the replacement parts really add up too (quality chrome is mucho expensive) and i'm not even considering the time involved in the build!! just saying like!
