C'mon folks. Don't be shy. Add your names to the list whether you're going to the AGM only, camping or staying in the hotel.

It's a brilliant way to meet the people in YOUR club and it's a great bit of craic too It's also the perfect opportunity to network with other VW hoarders/enthusiasts and source those hard to find parts for your restoration, parts that people wouldn't advertise online but maybe have sitting on a shelf and don't need.

The AGM is really informal but you do get to add your say (if you want) to how the club can be run.

Above all else, it's a mini VW show with people arriving in their VWs so if nothing else, it's a genuine excuse to get your VW out on the last weekend of xmas!

So far, attending the AGM is 11 people which isn't great for a club that has a large membership. This is your club as much as it is anyone else's so please support it and come along on Sunday January 7th. It's not formal by any means and it helps you to get to know your clubmates and feel part of this very special community............face to face is always batter than any forum or facebook can ever be!

The AGM is also a brilliant excuse to get your VW out and about after the winter hibernation so come along, be part of your club and if you want you can have a say in how the club is run or perhaps you want to get people to support a show/event in your own area.

As a club we need member participation in order to survive so if this is your first time attending an AGM or even your first time posting something on the forum, don't be shy, add your name to the list. We'd love to see you all on Sunday January 7th.

Oh, I forgot to add, for those asking whether it is for paid members only, the answer is no. If you are a forum only member you can come along and see what it's all about. Should you wish to upgrade to a fully paid up club member, Brian Raftery will be there to accept the annual sub which is a minuscule €25 per year. This money goes towards running the website, admin costs, the AGM itself and sponsoring events etc.

If you're looking for a room drop me an email cathal@MustBook.ie and I'll add you to the list. All rooms are on a 'pay on departure' basis so no prepayments are required. BTW, the weather has been great so far so how about we take advantage of the AGM and look at running a mini show/meeting on the Sunday in Marty's place? Let's see how many old VeeDubs we can get out and about on the Sunday. C'mon folks, let's fire up our Beetles, Buses, Type 3s &4s, Ghias or whatever aircooled is your pleasure and get out and drive them on Sunday 6th January
