Hey folks,
happy new year to all at Eircooled!
Due to the delivery of a brand new small person during the summer, we have been a bit remiss with keeping up to date with the forums as we're too knackered from changing nappies and getting no sleep. However, we've gathered our wits to get Vantastival 2012 together and here's an update on the festival.
Vantastival is moving from Dunany this year due to the growth of the Workmans' equestrian business at Dunany Estate. They couldn't guarantee the availability of the paddocks at the time of the festival. It has worked out very well for us because the new venue at Bellurgan Park is more suitable for Vantastival with a stunning location very easy to access from the M1. It's slightly further north on the Carlingford peninsula but its proximity to the motorway means it doesn't take any longer to get there. www.bellurganpark.ie
We are currently working on the festival line up and have some great acts confirmed. We should be able to announce headliners in the next few weeks. Everything else is going according to plan. Our Christmas tickets sold out but we can offer a club rate of €60 for Eircooled members if anyone wants to organise a block booking. Otherwise, the earlybird tickets will go on sale at the start of February for three weeks only and will cost €70.
We are in the running for Best Small Festival at the European Festival Awards taking place in Holland on January 11. It's a long shot but it's nice to be nominated! Closer to home, voting is still open for the Irish Festival Awards and we're nominated in six categories so please vote for us at http://www.irishfestivalawards.ie/ . We're definitely in with a shot here so please please spread the word and post the link on your facebook pages etc. and vote from as many email addresses as you have.
We're going to get a survey ready to get feedback on last year's event also so we'll post that up when it's ready. If anyone has any suggestions about this year's festival just let us know! I hope to see loads of you having the craic at Vantastival 2012.
All the best,
Benny
