Went to sziget (in budapest) last year in the van and they had a rule that you couldn't bring any drink in and had an inspection on entering the camping area where they searched the van. Of course i'd misunderstood this rule and we stocked up on booze the day before in a tesco and the bastards took it off us. Big burly army looking dude searched the van and he didn't have much english and i have no hungarian. But my giving out and general pissed offness worked to a degree and he let us keep a case of beer and the dregs of what was left in the bottom of a bottom of Jack. The worst thing was that we had wine in the van for ages and not just for the fest and they took that too. If i had a known there was goin be a search and that we wern't allowed beer in i would have attempted to hide it. i reckon the cans could have went in the upper bunk in the pop top close it down and they would never have been seen.

Made it home in one piece. Good enough weekend quite a chilly one but the beer kept most of that away. Pissing rain this morning glad i wasn't in a tent the joys of van living. After the drive to the airport and then back home think i should really try getting the heating sorted in it feckin freezin i was . Nice driving back the way on the M1 and seeing a few vans making there way home.
