Nice patina on that fasty though, would look good dropped!

Just had a look at that website, some overly inflated prices on that site, must stick the oval up for the crack, must be worth 25+ is a 71 ghia is extremely rare and worth 19,999 and the cheapest golf is a diesel mk1 for 4k!

I just rang him and he said that he refused €2k for it but would let it go for €2,250
Best of luck to whoever buys it for that. It's a nice project but trust me when I say it needs lots of work and Type 3 parts are hard to get and expensive. He should have taken the €2k he was offered!

Thats the oldest trick in the book. There's no way he was offered £2000. Maybe he needs a reminder that Ireland is knee deep in a recession and nobody is going to pay that money for a car that has the arse falling out of it.

It sold after being listed for the 2nd time on eBay for €1,500 - 1 bid.
He said he refused €2k for it but I wonder does he realise he has to sell it now for the €1500 bid? What are the legalities of an eBay sale does anyone know? He has to sell now for €1500 doesn't he?

Its badly advertised too. Saying it has a perfect interior is clearly untrue. I pity the poor sucker who bought it. Im betting the guy is going to be majorly pissed off when he sees it, if indeed the seller fulfils his end of the bargain. From what Im telling, he sounds like one of these old codgers who are a nightmare to buy anything off. I dealt with enough of them in my time trying to buy various cars and always walked away when the person started giving me shite (except for my Syncro, which was a difficult vehicle to come by anyway).
