I'll be staying in Portlaoise that night as my Dad lives there so I'm up for a few pints or whatever people are doing?
Are most people heading to this in their dubs or what?

I live 15 minutes away from the venue so I'll go along on the day. To be honest, the whole meeting/AGM thing just isn't for me. I'll meet ye after the politics is over. Anyone got any idea what time ye'll be out at?

I'd be up for pints the night before too... ;)

No politics just car talk, The plan is to meet at the hotel around 1 o'clock have a meeting to let people know how the club is going, put faces to fourm names and have a lunch/dinner at the hotel. Come in you VW if you can. The whole thing should finish around 4-5pm and the people who are staying can go to the bar or lesiure centre or what ever they want do.

Trev there is genuinely feck all politics. We just have a quick chat about the last year and then a bit of motivational talk about the coming years. Some people volunteer to do a few things and then we all get a free dinner or lunch. It is very easy going.

Sometimes people have to step up to the plate and help out. That's why 10% of the people in almost any club do 90% of the work. I'd prefer to be numbered with the 10. It usually isn't easy or very rewarding but must be done. Thanks to all who have volunteered to make this a good club.

Still haven't decided. Will be in Kilkenny for New Years. That means choosing either 4 days with my nice modern, warm, comfortable daily driver or a cold, slow bug.

Damn, I stayed an extra night in Limerick tonight hoping the weather would calm a bit so I could take the beetle!!!! :ROFLMAO:
(fingers crossed)

My VW's are stuck in Mayo the roads where covered in ice for the whole of christmas so I couldn't take them out. Had to drive back to Dublin in the storm last night in the jeep, so i'll be able to make it to portlaois on sat what ever the weather.

That's a good target for me too. I may catch a ride down but will have to leave my car somewhere safe.

Britt thats not the safest place to leave a car (I'm a local), if you want I can meet you at newlands and you can leave your car at my house.
Its only five minutes from the applegreen station.

Or leave it in the Potion in Rathcoole
