Here Comes the Sun returns for the 5th time this year again in the beautiful surroundings of Shankill Castle, Paulstown, Kilkenny on Sunday 12th April.
This is more of a cars n coffee event than a full show. As the castle owners open a section normally reserved for those paying to tour the grounds there is a charge of €8 per person (cash only please).
This fee still entitles everyone to a coffee/tea and a cake plus full access to explore the grounds.
We need to use the side entrance which is 1/2 a KM up the road from the main entrance ( R95 K8Y7 )
Gates will open around 10:30. Coffee served from 11:00
Space for regular cars is limited inside so anyone bringing trailers should leave them at the school car park just opposite the main entrance
Camping:
While there is no camping available at Shankill castle, there is a pub 2 mins up the road called "The Pint Depot" and they welcome campervans all year round (without charge). This was great craic last year!
The pub doesn't offer catering facilities but Bagenalstown is a further 2 mins away where there are plenty of shops and takeaways.
With a full month to go it should give most a chance to get your aircooled cars out of the garage and make this the best one yet!
