El cheapo bug on dondeal - possible 1300S

I know that the ad says 1300 and the 1300S was a 1600, but did any non 1300S cars have that colour interior and padded dash? Year is right too

looks like it has potential but I'd doubt if it's a fabled 1300S. Cartell.ie lists it as a 1200 and all it has going for it to make it a 1300S is the year, dash and door cards that look like they might have been retrofitted along with those seats. My '73 1200 had a padded dash originally...

I could be wrong, and with the shine on the photos it is really hard to see the detail on the car, but is it not a standard 1303? Its 1973, and the 1300cc described sounds like the standard 1303 that comes with a 1285cc engine. The super beetle came with a padded dash too and it has those elephant foot rear lights? But I'm far from an expert! I cant see what shape the padded dash is from the photo, so I could be mistaken since the 1303 dash is pretty distinguishable!

its definately not a 1303, the wings are fibreglass, needs work alright but could be done. if not for 550 its surly worth it for parts its all there.

It doesn't seem to have the wires for the heated rear window and the seats are from a '75 and later Bug so I doubt it's a 1300s. Cheap project though but it could be fooooooooooooooooooked and then it ain't so cheap!

I met the chap that bought it a few days before he bought it and gave him a tour around the trouble spots of a beetle so he'd know what to look for but I had nothing to do with the sale/purchase of the bug itself. He was looking for a project to get into and it looks like he found one I'll look forward to seeing it on the road

I got this one lads,was actually hoping to get macs 66 from him but its not looking good from my end.should find out next week so not gonna start this one till i know if i can afford macs aswell...getting greedy now i know but hey.Hoping to have the bay on the road at the end of the summer aswell.Thats out of my hands as im not rebuilding the engine though.
