Yeh, it was a great meet. Cool to see so many new faces there tonight.... and VW's of course.

The drive up to Johnny Foxes was cool too... great hill climb with the sounds and smells of hot engines....

Just two pics...

I made it to Foxes, pity I couldn't make it to Eddies. the single cab looks class, great to see the number of early slammed rides growing! It wasn't that long ago that I could list the number of road going splits on one hand! A few more slammed early bugs would be nice! Pity the Williams' 50 had to emigrate!

I made it to Eddies but not to Foxes. Massive turnout for an October meet. I have a few pics but will put them up tonite. Pat's Split is a beaut and same with Pete's SC, Darragh's bug looked sweet as well, lovely stance.... As Tsar was saying, it wasn't long ago that Splits were far and few between, same with Oval's, but they are two a penny now which is great. Great to see all these new cars/busses on the scene. As for the William's Split, I'm sure the someone in US and UK are also saying that about the cars that we all buy ;)

Pics later...

Great just to get out, turnout was huge, and loved pats split as well as the crew cab split.... Ann had to tell me to stop staring at them at one point . Took a few snaps, but they will prob be duplicated by Liam & co! Couldn't make foxes, eddies had to suffice ( munchie milkshakes rule!)

Yeah I'll be there! Spending a lot of time doing bits on my car the past while. Just touched up the few stone chips today and finally got my fog lights wired up yesterday. Sorted out the headliner at the front of the ragtop too, so I want to show off the improvements! Not that I won't have the opportunity to do that at Barn Bugs and Wags. :)

I've developed an oil leak, a misfire, a complete loss of will when it comes to idle and a reluctance to select second.. I sense that i may be going backwards in comparison to your forwards :-D

That happens too with me, rest assured! Every time I fix one thing, another breaks. It cracks me up sometimes. The misfire and idle issues for you I'd bet are caused by the same thing and probably something small. All VWs leak oil. Theyre just marking their territory. Have you tried adjusting your gear lever?

One oil leak is the gbox.. She be shagged.. Other leak is a rocker gasket.. Went to grab one to find an empty box.. Sad face.. Misfire.. Most probably an air leak tho i could have lost the clearance on the exhaust valves again.. Will have to see if i can get an hour to pull the manifolds and check the clearances over the weekend.. i think the selector rod support bush has gone awol..

Miss having a garage.. Ahh well.. Thats what waterproofs are for :-D
