As alot you know the club has had a number of visits to Barrettstown camp who specialise in rebuilding the lives of children affected by cancer and serious illness. Rebuilding there confidence is a key part of the program.

Our normal deal is picking up the kids and ferrying them around the lake to there disco.

They love us down there and as such we have received a special invite to the 20 year celebration on Saturday
The idea is we can go along and display our cars / campers

Invite includes families There will be loads of bouncing castles Fossetts circus, Air balloon (weather dependent) cannoning, crazy golf and the army are going to do a display or something.

If previous visits are anything to go by it will be an amazing day out

It runs from 11 to 4

so who's up for it?

[h=2]20th Birthday Party – 5th July[/h]Barretstown is marking a significant milestone this year by celebrating our 20th Anniversary!
Since Barretstown was founded by Hollywood actor and legend Paul Newman in 1994 we have helped over 27,000 children with a serious illness and their family members through our Camps and Outreach Programmes and we think that’s something to celebrate!

We will be marking this anniversary with a party here at camp on Saturday 5th July. The day will commence at 11am and we will have a range of activities on site for you to enjoy including Fossett’s Circus, a bouncy castle, music and games. There will be two time slots available to view the circus show and attendees will be allocated a time slot upon arrival.
Space will be available for you to have a picnic, so why not pack your picnic blanket and packed lunch! You can also purchase snacks and beverages from a variety of food vendors on site.

Here’s a quick summary of information:
Date: Saturday 5th July
Time: Arrive from 11am event finishes at 4pm

I'll be there too. It'd be fantastic if we can get a good number of people to come and display on the day. Unlike any other time we were there, where we drove the kids around, this time we will be doing a static display of our VWs.

This is a great day out for your families.........plus, it's not often you get to mix your hobby and your family all inone so don't miss out on this one! There's crazy golf now onsite and there is the circus but to add to all that, the grounds are superb and make the perfect backdrop for your picnic.

In order to let Bernie know how much space she might need to allocate to Eircooled, I think we will have to start the dreaded list :D

1. Deckie
2. Trev
3. Duts
4. Velvet
5. Rocky
6. Coxy

Here's hoping we can all make a big effort and have an impressive display - we were the only club Bernie asked so it's a big honour for us.

believe it when I see it. ;)

How many times have you said you'd be at Barretstown and cried off at the last minute? :ROFLMAO:

Your right but a nine to three job would make it easier, never mind the three months off
