Don't they need to be post-86 to have the tasty stuff?

maybe for tasty stuff but the pre 85? stuff will bolt on to an irs bug,A arms , brakes, anti roll bar, torsion bars... the lot . and the front brakes will go on bug spindles with a special bearing, or will bolt on a super bug front .

the later stuff has the wider aluminium A arms which will bolt on too but you`ll need wider rear wings. and the later brakes will need 16 inch and up sized wheels

so i believe anyways ;)

you need expensive kerscher balljoints to bolt the brakes onto a 1303 front end but the camber will be a mile out (positive) so you need to do more work again to correct it.
