I'll ship through you!

Thanks Britt - but no thanks.

I spoke to a shipping agent this evening to clarify, shipping from L.A to England including customs and charges is £1,600 at todays rates (all in). In euro that equals €1,868, plus another €500 to transport to Ireland ending up with a total of €2,368.

Ok that dosen't include transport from Utah & putting a plate for it in Ireland, but yes you can import for €2,500 - best of luck selling your three cars Britt (y)

Just so you know Mikey that does seem awful cheap for a single vehicle I'd be getting that quote in writing if I was doing it ...transport from Utah would set you back the bones of $1000 I've done it a good few times

since we're debating the point here, just out of interest, how much cheaper is RO-RO? I know you run the risk of your car being pillaged for anything that's not welded to it (and maybe even stuff that is actually welded to it) but is it cheap enough to be worth a punt on a relatively low-value car?

Theres a guy with a split used to be on T2i I think he did it from Florida ...I've never tried it from the States just from Europe ( I wont be either )

I think I remember that fella alright.

the thought just struck me though: not that I am or intend to be any time soon but if you spotted a cheap vehicle in the US that would be an oddity here, for example a beach buggy that really had very little on it to be robbed off it and to keep it cheap, you sent it over RORO, it might still work out fairly cheap by the time it landed.
