jesus!! someone needs to grab that sharpish!! That'll be akin to an almost new road engine. Even in the worst case scenario, it'll only have been run for a few dozen hours. That magneto is fookin huge too!!
Isn't the compression set very low on those? I know with the 356 industrials they are set to rev low all day - that magneto is the business though..

I was buying a Merc of that dude, getting good pics and answers to some of my questions was a bit of a struggle, so I gave up.
Not saying anything bad about him, he seems genuine enough, but you really need to go see that car/van whatever in person (I often buy on description and photos alone).
