Hey Britt - this is really easy - don't be stressing about it at all. You basically get the M1 south to Dublin and as you begin to fairly obviously come in to Dublin you will see lots of big huge signs for Dublin Airport. You need to wake up at this point for about 45 minutes. Just after the junction for Dublin Airport keep left and there is another major junction signposted M50. The M50 starts at the M1 so you can't really go wrong - there is only M50 Southbound from this point so you can only go south. Get on the M50 and just keep driving until you get to the toll bridge (?1.90 I think) - go through this and there is one exit immediately after it - ignore it. Stay in the left lane and the next exit is about 3 or 4 miles later and will be very well signposted as the N7 for Limerick/Cork. As you exit the motorway on the left you will be keeping towards the right of the exit lane to cross over the motorway by bridge. Just follow the signs for N7 Southbound/Limerick/Cork. The "roundabout" at this junction is the most horrendous thing you will ever encounter - it makes Shasta look like a picnic - it is mainly made of mud right now and is a cross between a roundabout and a cloverleaf junction. Just take it easy and keep following the signs for N7 Southbound. Once you are on the N7 you can go back asleep again till you get to Limerick. So you only have three directions to remember - M1, M50 South, N7 South. It really is easy - the signposts will be 20 foot high and you will be travelling on the three main "interstates" of Ireland. (I use the word interstate loosely )
If you miss the turns for either the M50 or the N7 you will know as in Ireland we have a lovely habit of putting the largest signs right at the junction where it is too late to exit. If this happens just take the next exit and come back the other way - the exits in Dublin are only a couple of miles apart if even that. You will know if you miss them as the M1 ends just after the M50 junction and the M50 is currently roadworks all the way to the N7 but after that opens out and becomes a decent road. Trust me you won't get lost at all.
