So he only bought it recently to sell it on? Pity if anyone over here wants to view it they have to fly to the UK!

It's a fantastic car and a shame its being passed on so quickly.

I doubt he bought it to sell it on and realistically, I doubt anyone in Ireland will buy it anyway. You must have sold/tried to sell someting that's of high value or unusual and all you get are tyre kickers and people looking to knock the value out of the car. I'd love to see it stay in Ireland but seeing as I had so many wankers and timewasters when I was selling the POS at a low price that I can only imagine what it would be like selling the '50 at a high price.

a car of this kind has a limited number of people willing to pay the asking price...

as for selling it here, the busiest thread in our for sale section is the " Bargains on donedeal" thread...:)

I think what Deckie meant was that it wasn't "advertised" in the Irish market, as oppossed to "not offered", as obviously with VZI it's offered to everyone.....T'would be nice just to throw it up here anyway, a simple copy and paste......

U'd be surprised who'd be interested in it, recession or not.....

VZi - largest VW forum in Europe, start there. Seems logical to me; one ad, huge audience.

Don't think it matters what "market" its advertised it in - there'll still be comments passed.
Fair enough, it'd be nice to see it remain in Ireland, but whats a seller supposed to do? Mothball it & hope that the economy picks-up enough so that an Irish buyer comes along?
No matter where it goes, its still a great advert for whats going on in the Irish VW scene.
