Just a bit of advice, you can choose to ignore it if you wish :)

You might be better off having your existing hubs redrilled for the 4x100 pattern. Adapters tend to be 20-25mm thick to allow for the thickness of the bolts holding them to the hub and consequently you'll need wheels with a high offset (ET) figure to ensure they fit nicely under the wings. Most modern 4x100 wheels are made with an offset in the 30-35 region to suit modern cars, which happens to be a nice offset for fitting to beetles with redrilled hubs. If you fit ET35 wheels with 25mm thick adapters, you effectively reduce the offset of the wheels to ET10 (i.e. 35 - 25) which will make most wheels stick out a country mile beyond the edge of the wing... If you're intent on using adapters then look out for wheels with an offset in the ET50+ region. You won't find them too easily though...

Just make sure you do your homework before you waste any of your money. Especially important these days... :)

you'll need to elaborate: 4x drums or 2x front disks and 2x rear drums...

I sold a set (2x front disks and 2x rear drums) to Mac a while back, if he hasn't used them yet he might sell them on...

most engineering company's will drill your hubs for you for 100 to 140 for the 4,that's your best bet.

Good advice - I've been there too. ;)

Try www.machine7.com if you don't find them here.

like above. drilled would be better than adapters. ran porsche whels on golf with adapters and would not recommend now when i know of an easier option. getting my beetle hubs drilled for 20 a hub.

we're lucky with beetles that the hubs are big enough to redrill, it's not always possible with Golfs etc and the only option is adapters :(

have your stock ones redrilled. They'll have to machine the flange off the face of the drum too. It's used to sit the wheel on when fitting up but will get in the way of fitting 4x100 wheels...

Once drilled, your drums will still have the 4x130 stock pattern on them so you can go back to standard wheels at any time. In fact, unless you have a 4x100 spare wheel you'll have to carry your stock beetle wheel and 4x stock wheel bolts in case you get a puncture.

When I had 4x100 wheels on my bug I went to a scrapyard and got a skinny spacesaver spare wheel from a Japanese car. They're usually immaculate with unused tyres, even have the little rubber knobbles still!
