Arrived in Dusseldorf in one piece and the plane as well. Weather is a little warmer than home during the day. Although when it get cold, it gets cold quick.

The bug is going well a slight noise from the speedo so we're going to pull it off and give it a bit of oil.

Andre brought me to a classic Volkswagen restorer and to say I'm blown away is an understatment. To find out why you can wait till I get back but here are some pictures.

We're you not in Ireland yesterday.

Are you leaving now

How many miles to the boat?
Is it the boat from France. The ie 22hour jobbie

Yeah it was warmer in Germany yesterday than in Dublin, other way around today.

Andrea is living in a place called Haltern which is in west Germany, so less miles to cover. The VW factory is 5 hours (on Motorway) from him in East Germany, so that won't be happening. It is roughly 900KM to the ferry in Cherbourg, going through Belgium cutting into Holland and into France.

We're setting off tomorrow evening and probaly stopping off in France after 4-5 hours driving. The ferry dosen't board until 8PM on Saturday so we have a bit of time to cover hours of driving that day.

:D

Speedo has stoped making noise, thanks to some oil.

Saw a bit of the local towns today and we meet Andre's cousin Mark who has a lovely Opel. We went to an Opel Museum as one of the factorys is close by.

Tomorrow is D Day.

We're about to set off in the next half hour or so. Germany is an hour ahead of Ireland timewise, the plan is to try cover about five hours of motorway tonight. We would like to be well into France, but if not once we could get to the far side of Belgium it would be great.

I'm not sure if I will be able to post pictures, as they won't be great from the dark and this phone.

Over and out
