Welcome to Eircooled
Our Ethos is simple; We promote, maintain, and encourage the use of classic aircooled vehicles. We run the club in an open, inclusive, and democratic environment. We encourage all members to have an equal say and part to play in the club.
Those of a certain age may remember this Beetle from a poster in the 1990's. It was a pretty cool poster too. Always wondered what happened to it, nice to see it survived.
Brand new Nissan X-Trail was ours for the day. If you're thinking Darren looks refreshed in this pic it's probably because he just woke up! By his own testing, he can confirm that the back seat of an X-Trail is a comfy place for a power nap!
Yes, Mick & Ann Johnstone's genuine Oettinger Cabriolet. Its last owner took it apart and detailed/cleaned it on an OCD level and it shows. Photos don't do it justice. The thing is mint everywhere you look. I've never seen a chassis as clean or inner arches as glossy. It gets used too as Mick and Ann have been around Europe in it and are planning a trip to Ireland at some point. It won an award too which is a nice bonus for them.
Yes, agree with Mikey, Stanford Hall is one of the crème-de-la-creme VW aircooled shows to get to, is on my short list, maybe 2018. Been to BVF & Busfest at Malvern. Eamonn
