Ok folks, it's time to fire up your Volks for this really cool, one-off event!
Western Motors in Galway is celebrating the 50th birthday of their very own Irish assembled Beetle. This 1200 Beetle Deluxe is part of their own personal Heritage Collection, and was assembled in Dublin back in September 1976, so to mark this milestone for their pride & joy, Western Motors have opened their showroom to aircooled Volkswagens for one day only!
For the first time ever in Ireland, a modern Volkswagen showroom will be filled with 100% stock, immaculately restored aircooled Volkswagens. We have selected the best of the best to be displayed inside the showroom, alongside 262 UYI, which takes centre stage of course! The showroom will turn into a classic Volkswagen museum for one day, with some of these Volkswagens having never been shown at an Irish event before so don't miss out.
Also in the showroom will be a very special Volkswagen from Western Motors Heritage Collection; the VW XL1. Now that's something you don't see every day!
Not only will the showroom be filled with incredible Volkswagens but the forecourt will be your showground, ready for you to bring your aircooled Volkswagen along. Western Motors Galway are turning their modern showroom back in time for one day so let's get our aircooled Volkswagens ready for this really cool event!
Our own DJ Rez will be providing the tunes on the day but as a little twist, he is using an I.D. Buzz as his DJ rig for the day. Goodie bags will be available on a first come first served basis so get there early in your aircooled Volkswagen to avoid disappointment! There will also be onsite catering to keep everyone fed and watered.
This really is a unique event and I'm delighted that Western Motors have invited us all along.
