A fella I know rang me last week.. He was looking to buy a beetle, but didn't know the first thing about them. He asked me to keep an eye out (now now..) for something for him. So i trawled through the usual Done Deal websites looking for something nice.

Roll on to last Friday when I saw that Landfill was up for sale...
He asked me for my honest opinion and I told him. Don't touch it with a barge pole.

But he bought it anyway. So headed for Limerick or Tipperary or somewhere this morning, and was taken Blindfolded to Coxy's stash of exotic vw's, where i loaded up the 65 and headed for home....

Got it home and give it a good wash, and a hoover and dropped it out to it's new owner who was standing at the front door waiting...
Showed him around it, where everything is and how it all works. Ok time to go home. Will we take the beetle or my daily driver?
we'll take the daily; Porsche Carrera4S. 3.8 litre 4 wheel drive Tiptronic.... No words can describe it, you just need to take one of these for a blast. The power, The noise.... Class.
Just to top it off, i had to pick up my 13 year old son and his buddy on the way home.. you want to see his face! Priceless..

My son Ben say's "Dad, you should be his friend..." I am son... I am.

So here it is loaded up and heading home, and It's getting a new garage built for itself too.
It's in good hands Coxy.

Now, where's that spare lowered beam I had.......

seafront salt air ???

good or bad for a classic vw ??

This is my old gaff. Some days the waves would come up over the railings.

Long term this is could be a problem, but for a few months in the summer, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I see this parked on the seafront in Blackrock all the time now. He's driving it way more than the 997 these days. I think he's in love :)

Bit of a power difference between his Porsche and Landfill :D

I'm delighted to see it's being used and enjoyed. He texted me to say his kids love it and call her Buggsy
