Very cool i remember when someone had a crack at it in a big old rover vitesse or something, it might have been tony pond, i was a nipper and remember watching it on the telly. youve gotta be some pilot thats for sure.

'twas Tony Pond alright. But in a Rover 827 Vitesse! (He rallied an SD1 Vitesse there alright, but that was a different beast altogether) Tony Ponds lap was amazing. Dunno how he did it in one of these front wheel drive barges, and without breaking a sweat at the end! The Rover wasn't completely stock, but Mark Higgins had what was pretty much a Group N Subaru - not really a fair comparison IMHO.

Porsche back in the WRC! Francis Tuthill is developing a 997 911 Porsche RGT for the WRC GT rules.
