This was great crack as a spectator today, definitely will try and have something in it next year.
Not surprised Trev had an off, have video evidence of him coming out of a bend on two wheels..!

just in the door from the Show/Grand Prix today. The craic was epic!!

For anyone that competed in the Grand Prix and didn't leave with facial lacerations: you weren't trying hard enough!!

I'll remember Limerick 2015 for many years to come :ROFLMAO:

his soapbox was deadly: tube frame, gokart seat, double wishbone suspension all round, disk brakes, steering rack, proper ackermann setup, custom-made wheels if you were to believe him. He must have had a clean fortune in it. He was raging that a fella with a chopped up wheelchair and another chap in a wheelie bin beat him into third place!!!

Thanks from the Limerick Classic & Vintage Car Club to everyone who supported the 23rd Limerick Show .

The sun shone & there was a huge turnout of VWs from all over Ireland ,which
made the voluntary efforts of the organisers & helpers worthwhile.

The Limerick Soapbox Grand Prix was a very popular attraction & thanks to those on Eircooled who
supported it by building & racing their karts...& to hell with the consequences :)

Once again Rez / Kevin provided brilliant tunes which created a great atmosphere.

Thanks to Volkswagen Group Ireland & Retro Classics magazine who were the main sponsors & also to
Lyons of Limerick .

The LCVCC will be making a donation to Pieta House following the success of the show.

More Limerick Soapbox Grand Prix shenanigans ...

The 3rd placed soapbox on the return road ( the fancy one in the video )

A couple of others on the return road ......they didn't have the luxury of a transporter....one had a rope ,the other had to hold on to him....:)
