Another good meet evening we had.
I must say big thanks to the lads for not just leaving me on the side of the road, especially to the man Larry for following me all the way back home to Ballingarry to make sure I got there ok. I owe you man.
I had an issue there last week at a run when it just cut out, I filled the carb with petrol from a bottle and away it ran.
I thought it was only a one off until the other night.
I got to Limerick fine that morning for work, left after for the meet, still going fine, and then on way out to Pa Mc's pub it gave a splutter and I knew the problem had returned.
I had come prepared with squeezy bottle and all, got running again after couple attempts and got to pub for the tea and sandwich.
After when leaving Larry said he would follow me for a while to see how it was going, good thing too as it broke down another 4 times before getting it home.
We had checked the fuel supply on the night, getting fuel to pump but not to carb.
I took off the pump today and dismantled it, didn't find anything wrong with the pump internals, ( had put a rebuild kit in it last year).
The only thing I did find was a bit of ptfe tape in the outlet of pump so I am hoping this was the problem.
The grub screw on the front of the carb was also a bit loose so was prob sucking unwanted air into the carb.
All going good again, so gonna take it out for a few spins next few days to make sure.
