Formula Vee Festival held at mondello park on 6th and 7th july

We're out too. Fucked brakes and fuel pump issues. Not gonna have the car at terenure either. Gutted 
Just a timing problem I suppose - busy weekend, and Terenure is probably the biggest show of the year.

i made it up saturday evening and sunday.was a brilliant day-great weather and great atmosphere around the place.the grandstand was fairly packed too.
couldn't spot a beetle/bus anywhere though unfortunately.beautiful orange '07 911 gt3 rs in the pits had me drooling though.
didn't have a camera myself,but nicked these..
the brother had an up and down weekend with the vee.he pulled a front beam from a beetle deep in a ditch in Roscommon on monday.very late nights all week to get it ready,only to make sh1t* of it again in the first race on saturday,when a car spun in front of him.bannana shaped beam.burst tyre,broken tie rod.
saturday night spent fixing it again-all the beer money spent replacing the burst tyre(€165!)
got it fixed eventually with help from Seanie and his magic hacksaw..and big hammers...and an average sized welder.
got taken out(accidently) in his first heat race on sunday morning on lap two..
but got going well in the next one,and had a good battle,finishing 5th.
didnt really expect to get to the final,but the jammy fooker ended up on pole,because they reversed the first 9 places on the grid!
unsurprisingly didnt last long-still a few seconds off the pace of the front runners.was a good fun weekend overall tho.had some good battles,and good laughs.
couldn,t get over how helpful the other drivers/crews were with tools,parts and advise.big thanks to them.
dont have a great selection of photos here,will try post some more later.
