Right folks, not my usual cuppa if I'm honest, but as a new year turns in i think its time to make a bit of an effort than just going racing (or not lol) so with this in mind, I had been speaking to Gethin about the air-cooled entries and he would like to have more vehicles there, last year they gave you all a bye ball by letting you arrive on the Sunday, usually they have to be there for both days, this year my guess is the organisers will want us there for both days and we will be under the same terms as all the other show cars, bar sunday outdoor entries.

The Hall can house about 50-60 vehicles, I'm told they were no where near that number last year.

entry is now open

You can fill out the form by clicking the tab at the bottom of the page.

As i mentioned, I'm not into static indoor events, but it will be a great chance to hook up with a ton of air coolers at the start of the season. Miracles do happen, i booked last night!!!!!

We are hoping to get a nice bunch of race cars down too.

So who's in?

I'm surprised you haven't had more replies to this one... Unfortunately 2 day event's are most likely out for me (except DD3 :)) as I work most saturdays now, but I'm thinking of trying to get up to this for the sunday. 2014 was a desperate year for me for attending anything vw-related so I'm planning on making more of an effort this year..

I plan to take a trip up on Sunday the 29th, as it clashes with the Volksworld Show the same weekend...

Dubshed is a great VW static show, seriously well run and seriously well attended....It is mostly watercooled stuff but older VWs have always been around in small numbers.

As the show has grown the GTINI team have made great attempts to involve the Aircooled VW's with much success. This is great to see as its the only way young folk can see Aircooled vehicles up close and not just in the magazines. 'Respect your Elders' springs to mind.

There is a great number of quality well restored VWs in Ireland and many of them make their way to Dubshed.

Its a must if you like a static show.

I hope to meet a few Eircooled heads at it...2 days is always going to be an issue with the more mature crew (as we are not allowed to leave the house without children)...lol ...but I hope to see many of you at the show....

There's alot more Aircooled cars going, this list is only some of the members of this forum. I'm guessing NBOC will have a whole convoy of cars coming down an the Air cooled drag Day guys are putting on a display.last year the hall was almost full on the Sunday but there's also some H20 track cars coming which may end up with the drag bugs. Anyway according to Gethin they are stricter on entry's his year as Aircooled were given a by last year to encourage them.

you have to enter online anyway an contact to organisers to check about Sunday entry to be safe.

I'll not start another thread guys as Ben seems to have it all in hand here but here are the details regarding GTINI's Dubshed show this year that is going up on all the forums. Would be good as always to have as much Aircooled attendance as possible this year and will have a dedicated area again for this.

I know it clashes with Volksworld this year which couldn't be helped unfortunately. This is the first year we have VW Heritage along as a sponsor and they are also main sponsors of Volksworld. Anyway here's the flyer and details... John@gtini

Dubshed is back for 2015!

We are celebrating our sixth year of Dubshed on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of March! We bring you the biggest and most exciting show yet, with an even more diverse selection of cars from across the VAG spectrum! There are people who will have travelled from all areas of Ireland, UK and even Europe to take part in one of the most talked about events on the car show calendar!

We typically have 700+ cars in attendance and now verging on 10,000 people through the gates over the course of the weekend. Approximately 250 of the best cars are displayed within the halls on site and are required to use our online entry system (www.dubshed.com/entry) to get cleared for a spot. For outdoor displays people can turn up and park on the Saturday and/or Sunday.

Doors will open at 2.30pm on Saturday 28th March, for a special preview afternoon. Open to vehicles for outdoor display, as well as spectators wanting to view the indoor display a day before the show.

Doors will open at 8am on Sunday 29th March to vehicle entrants, and 12pm to spectators.
The admission cost of £10 allows access on Saturday and Sunday, so come on down and spend the weekend with us! And remember Under 12's are free!

We now have a VIP pre-payment ticket option, available online at www.dubshed.com/tickets, these get you which gets you a unique wristband, 10% off food at the event, fast track access at the doors avoiding the queues, VIP Entry to the after hours party at the box and 10% off GTINI & Dubshed merchandise at our stand on show days.

We are marking the 35 Years of Quattro, with a special display of some of the finest Quattros from the UK and Ireland and it promises to be a fantastic display. We also have a new feature this year, a motorsport inspired section to include track prepped & rally cars that are within the VAG brands. This year we have the specially dedicated "Aircooled zone", a hall in which we will have on display some of the finest Aircooled Beetles, Campers and other rare and wonderful models, that usually never see the light of day. We will have some Aircooled Drag Racers on display this year!

As in previous years the halls of Dubshed will also be packed with trade stands with various local and national companies keen to show off and sell their products with special headline stands from our main sponsors

- VW Heritage for the first time with their extensive range of classic parts to restore and keep your Dub on the road

- Kleenfreaks to get your freak on with the finest locally produced car care products

- Used Cars NI for the place to sell your car or find your next Dub with the biggest and best source of used car sales information on the internet for the Northern Ireland buyer.

- Colin Adams Motorparts with their range of parts, tools and lubricants and everything else for your car

- Paintworx showcasing the PPG Nexa autocolor refinishing range

And of course our partners at I Love Bass who will be on hand with something fresh on show again and some exclusive GTINI/ILB offerings

Dubshed is renowned as being a family friendly event, and this year we've gone one step further. We now have a Fun Fair for the kids to go along with the radio controlled cars & bench seated picnic areas so there will be lots of fun activities for all ages. Don't forget, under 12's go free!

The Dubshed 'After-hours Party' in association with Kleenfreeks is in Box Nightclub on the Saturday night and promises to be a rocking night again for the nightowls amongst us, details of this will be on our Facebook page closer to the event.

The ever popular Scrap-a-jap returns, giving you the chance to thump a Japanese car with a sledge hammer!

I'll be heading up Saturday arvo with a mate. Unfortunately the bay isn't quite ready so we will be in the t5. I'll keep an eye out here cause it'd be great to hook up. Anyone staying the Saturday night for a few scoops?

Heading up to this in the Gypsy, the kind folk at vw heritage provided me with 2 sets of tickets for the Saturday & Sunday, I was planning on a-framing the beetle as well but I am just wondering if it would be possible to stay on the show grounds for the Saturday night as I don't fancy having to hook everything back up and move out of there for the evening and go through it all again the following day. I haven't registered the beetle for the indoor arena so I was planning on having both the beetle and bus side by side at the show. If it's not possible to stay there I'm planning on staying at the Jordanstown Loughshore Caravan Park, only a few miles away from the hall. Could anyone confirm if you are allowed stay on the show grounds.
Cheers.

Best asking on the GTI forum Keith. I can vouch for the Loughshore campsite as I work in council that looks after it. V Secure site. Pre book is essential as its popular. Hope you get sorted.
