I think Ireland is ready for a Harbor Freight or Machine Mart type of shop. With the way things are tightening up more people are going to be maintaining their own cars and they'll need tools.

jebbtools.ie come close, I bought my welder from them but there's so much more that they could do, those wheel dollies are an example.

wolf tools went some of the way but they went tits up internationally shortly after opening up near Castledermot, Co. Kildare. Shame, I got some stuff from them and the quality was reasonable for the amateur car tinkerer...

Hi, i am realy delighted with your coments re jebbtools.ie, however we are always trying to improve and i am very interested in your coments re theres so much more they could do...... please tell me as we are always looking for as many new products and ideas as we can come up with. we are trying to duplicate machine mart and harbour frieght, so let me know anything we are missing we can add it to the range no problms.

best regards

thanks for posting Scott Jebb. If you're looking for suggestions for tools I'd be looking for a reasonably priced tubing bender, not a pipe bender. The hydraulic "push through" pipe benders that are available everywhere are no good for tubing, the formers are the wrong size for tubing and the rollers at either side of the ram just help the ram to kink the pipe.

Something like this:

as opposed to this:

in the past, this club has done a group buy of these intergrips from the states, can't get them here

oh, since you're selling welders maybe look into stocking the "rent free" gas bottles like Wholesale Welding Supplies do. I would have bought one with my welder at the time. Renting a bottle isn't feasible for the sporadic hobby user like me.

I'll make more suggestions as I think of them ;)

anyone know where a fella would get his hands on a sheet metal roller/slip rolls at a handy enough price? Even a narrow one would do, I don't plan on rolling anything three feet wide...

like this or narrower:

That's Phil Gunn, I know him well, he's into bikes and I used to hang around with his son for years till he moved to the UK! I havnt bought from him but I'd imagine he's sound to deal with, he does a large range of bike tools and benches too! Based at Watergrasshill.
