so how do you want to do this? I bring the body and rolling chassis to just outside Thurles and you split it there by the side of the road? Suit you Riggsi?

but you're getting the body for €200, as per the initial agreement and then the front axle with everything attached and the gearbox and back axle with everything attached for another €50. Killer bargain.

Anyway, this is a deal you need to broker with Riggsi, none of my business so long as I get €350 from you for the whole package. You get your €100 back from Riggsi :)

or €75 for the seats and Brian pays your membership fee for you ;)

you're beginning the makings of a sweet ride with the parts, and all for a small few hundred quid so far...

sweet, you can flip the diff in the gearbox to suit the Honda engine, they turn the "wrong" way compared to beetle engines. With the diff flipped you get four forward gears and one reverse, not four reverse gears and one forward. Or if you're into a bit of engineering, fit the VTEC mid-engined and just turn the gearbox around without going near the diff.

Now that would be something else: a custom beetle roadster with wicked bodykit, whale tail, 18" rims, screaming VTEC engine, nice sporty seats, chopped down windscreen. I can see it now. Chip Foose couldn't do it better!

if those seats are the ones Brian got from me a couple of years back, they're mk2 GTI seats...

now we've got a small problem. I had planned on A-framing the chassis + body since I don't have a trailer.

I could split the bits off the chassis here at my place ready for Riggsi to collect just the bare metalwork but that means Dillon would need to collect the shell and chassis components on a trailer. I don't have a problem doing that but if I'm to have a pile of immobile parts taking up space in the garage I need to be GUARANTEED they'll be taken a week or so later...
