COMPLETE VW BEETLE FRONT SUSPENSION AIRRIDE KIT.
This kit allows you to raise and lower the FRONT of your beetle or ghia at the touch of a button. The kit comes complete with 2 shocks, compressor unit, air hoses with connections, and all electrical cables and connectors.
Fitting of this kit involves the following procedure.
1 remove your old shocks.
2 replace with new air shocks.(you may need to grind 2 or 3 mm of material of the side of your trailing arms)
3 mount the compressor
4 connect up the air lines
5 wire up the compressor.
the whole job should take a couple of hours. You dont even need to take the front wheels of the car..
remember this is for the FRONT only. This kit WILL NOT LOWER the front of your car, it will only raise it back up. You need to have your car lowered first.
The air shock connectors have been machined to accept 1/4 inch air lines, which makes the car rise and fall faster than the standard 1/8 inch lines.
It takes 8 to 10 seconds to raise the car from completely lowered to driving height. The air shocks are typically driven at about 80 psi which gives a comfortable ride with plenty of clearence. When you park up, just let the air out and sit it on the deck...
