Think it was a ford motor. Inline 4cyl anyways, so that rules out Subaru. This was at the Vage show last year and in fairness, it seemed to be a pretty well put together replica. From what i can remember, all the Rothmans decals are pretty accurate and well applied. Lot of time and effort seemed to have gone into getting it as close as possible to the real thing. The panel gaps and proportions were even and consistent on this. It didn't sag to one side and it looked right when it drove into the show. Its a lot less of a mutt than some of the shonky 911's with nailed-on widebody kits out there. Plus, 200 bhp in anything rwd weighing under 1000kg has to be fun!those mutts usually have Ford engines.
He had that at the Gathering with a window price of stg£3750. £2450 seems cheap when you think of the work involved.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/volkswagen-beetle-dyane-hybrid-/291238261528?
