that's Ken, a couple of miles down the road from me. He has some collection alright. Only a fraction of it offered for sale. Mostly watercooled though.

I was only a kid at that show! We owned that car for many years. It was imported from America and had accident damage when we got it. We restored it and used it for many years and brought it to allot of shows. It won a good few awards in its day. The metallic gold is its original colour with the orange valuer interior. We still have the original all red rear light from the back of it somewhere. I loved it dearly and was sad when my dad sold it. The guy painted it that horrible colour and left it lying for many years. It was part of a house clearance and I probably could of got it for very little a couple of months ago but no room!

I'd love to see it restored but I have to much and to little time!

Fasty body anyone? €500 isn't bad eh?

Looks to be a mismatch of early and late parts. Possibly late parts fitted to an earlier car. Took a smack up the arse anyway.

It's going to be saved Robbie,I dragged it home today and it's nowhere near as bad as it appears in the add.

Thats great. We were everywhere in it and I wanted it when I was old enough but like with many vw we had it was sold in harder times! I had fit a pool ball gear knob and a very rare vw steering wheel centre when we had it. We put coil over gas shocks in the rear and the sun roof which was all the rage in the 80's. It had body coloured anniversary wheels with caps to!

I'll post a few pictures when I dig them out. Still have the trophies for it! It was a beautiful colour and my dad got sick when he seen the guy painted it. Love it!
