To be fair - they're were only 294,932 produced in 1972......

which just happend to be the largest number of bays built in any production year. BUT and there is always a but they are reported to have been built using poor quality steel from russia which is why they havent lasted as well as earlier and later models .it is almost impossible to find a rust free 72 cross over bay .

its a Standard vanguard Phase 1a .they were indeed known as beetle backs . they also came in diesel and used the same diesel engine as the grey ferguson tractor .very cool car .

I told him that someone just cut the roof off a hardtop and as a result, it's worth less than a hard top model. Price hasn't changed either.
Just to be pedantic, I also informed him about his spelling....
