Its more interesting than most on Donedeal just for the questions that it raises - like why remove the bonnet handle but not the engine bay handle?

i seen it a couple of months ago in the flesh so to speak, it looked solid enough but there was too many things i didn't like. (see above) but the wing beadin was sprayed, vents, interior etc etc. the paint was a tad off too. i'd say it could be a solid base but i think its a little expensive. maybe makin up for the alloys? jaysus i hope nobody in here owns it. basically i'd go for brendans bug first though.
I wonder is that one of the Bugs that was in the Bugweiser Club in the 90's? I must dig out some old pics to see.

In seriousness, we were only slagging the ad - no malice intended. Its just that show-winner reference makes it an iressistable target - my '74 was 'as new' once
ah I know, it's all in good fun!! You're right, people make the weirdest claims on their ads, such as the "show winning" comment above. Another good one is from the clairvoyant sellers: "first to see will buy".

I knew I recognised it, well not so much the car but the colour fade on the engine tinware. It was in the Bugwieser VW Club back in 1993/4.
At the Limerick Show or Beetles Reunion as it was called then. I think this was '93 or '94
The Bug may have been painted but the tinware is the same. It's holding out well considering it's nearly 20yrs old!
