Missed this thread up to now. Hopefully my reaction time will be quicker on the day.

21. Colin (Beetle, Daysel T25, Fasty, or if none of them will start, the brothers Skoda VRS (Does that count??)) I'll see who else I can rustle up..

Colin, the most important thing is that you can make it :D

I really can't wait for this! It's shaping up to be the event of 2013! I have my car up with Caddy at the moment getting some fettling done, a dyno tune-up and getting it ready for tearing up that runway! Who will be my challengers? That's the next question.

I was chatting to Dave today about this: there's the possibility of racing the slowest car on the day against the fastest car to see which driver is most consistent. They can calculate how much of a headstart the slow car needs so that (in theory) both should pass the line at the same time.

This might be bread'n'butter stuff to experienced drag racers but the concept is new to me and I thought it would be good craic watching a wheezy old 1200 taking off well ahead of a fire-breathing monster and watching the hare chasing the tortoise to the finish line ;)

have to agree with you Ross , definitely the event of the year by a long shot , like I mentioned before an event with some action for a change and EVERYBODY regardless of what they have get to have a go at something you otherwise would probably never get a chance at, and in an aircooled at that , whats not to like :)

Bracket racing, wayne has this facility on his timing system, we can run a few "dial in" times, take your best or worst dial in and then its programmed in, although wayne has never had to use the function, im sure we can sort something!!!

They were doing that at santa pod yesterday its good to see the chase down.
And sometimes they have to hit the breaks at the end to make sure they don't "break out" smash there dial in time.

Bracket racing is fun to watch as it tends to make the faster car break out watching the slower car take of first.
