Refreshingly honest ad - beats the usual 'in good condition for year' or 'requires light restoration'.

Not huge money either....

I agree, you'd easily get the asking price back if it were to be broken, all those cabrio only parts, glass, doors (even rotten ones!), rear side windows & mechs, hood frame etc etc etc plus the engine, gearbox and a pile of other stuff. Would be a good donor car for restoring your own cabrio.

I pass that car atleast twice a day - gave the guys father a spotted club card last year , he said his son was waiting on a floor pan or some thing for it , Coxy's taken a look at it . It's about 1 minute down the road from me here in work ,so if anyone wants a heads up give me a shout and I'll send ya in the right direction.

To say it's fucked is an understatement. It's been sitting there for at least 3-4yrs with holes in the roof. The floor, heater channels and cabrio only sill strengtheners are rotted through. It would have been a nice resto project at one point but you would be better off buying a project in the US or UK than even looking at this. I have offered money for the car only as parts but he refused my offer. I then sent quite a few guys his way, including Buggyboyshane who had no joy either. The owner was fully convinced it was worth a fortune and held out for his asking price but there is very little worth salvaging from it to be honest as EVERY panel is rusted through to some degree, mechaically it has not moved from that spot in years so no doubt they're in shit and the engine had not been started for a long time when I went to see it and the filter was not in place so I can only guess there was water pissing in through the engine lid vents and into the carb.
