1965 VW Beetle - Original Irish

Hi guys,

I know im a newbie and ironically my first post is a classified but i will be straight up and say that NO i am not a trader and NO do i own a Eircooled car but i have acquired this car below and i feel it deserves a good home as i have no interest in Beetles or VW's etc.

It is a 1965 original irish beetle with the same owner since 1968. It has 62000 miles from new and has been garaged day and night since 68'. It has had lots of new parts like carb, clutch, gearbox, brakes replaced over the last 5 years and had some work done in Emilios throughout the 90's. all of which is available to be viewed along with the FSH!!

This car really needs a true enthusiast to purchase it and enjoy it for what it is at shows etc. Here is some pics:

I hope that someone realises how good of an opportunity this is to snap up a genuine classic. i have already had one guy twitch because he spent more than what i want for this car on a newer 74' beetle that is not as original with a unique history.

Yeah i believe from its paoerwork it had some bodywork done by Emilio's back in the late 90's. well spotted!

My viewing of the car is today at 4pm by a local guy so hopefully she will have a new home and to a member from this site aswell! :cooool:

He better buy cos i finished work at 2pm and i managed to do paperwork and play net games until now to keep me amused...haha

Ian didn't waste his time hanging around, I bought the car, it's a beauty.

If anybody would have told me yesterday that I would be buying a car today I would have said not a chance I've no money! Now I've two Beetles! I'll probably sell one of them at the end of the summer. Now I need to find a nice dry garage for the '65, it would be a sin to leave her outside.

Ross may know of Ian, he works in sales in Windsor Raheny. An 89 year old man had to buy an automatic Micra as he couldn't drive the Beetle anymore.

Cheers guys and Richie, i was already on to Eric to make him aware that he owes me 500 quid!! haha...i never thought that KNOWING SOMEONE wud actually cost me so much in such a short space of time....note to self: never mention cars or names to anyone in future! the world is just too dam small.

Best of luck with her Richie and see you Monday when collecting.

For now, thats me signing out from eircooled, props to this site for having genuine enthusiasts and not average bandwagon wannabes....something that cannot be said for other sites dedicated to other old skool cars.
