to be honest im astounded that if you really did want to sell that car you have still to put up full and comprehensive list of what it has going for it. youve only answered a couple of replies vaguely and im no expert but i can see some really trick parts and expensive parts on that wee car that were never mentioned. its your car, i think its a sin to split, id put it up on some of the uk forums, eg volkszone. great basis as german looker with all the extremely hard and expensive stuff done. guys on there would go crazy for that. plus if your looking money from it, you will get it through splitting but it could take a while and you may get someone at the end saying if i had have known i would have bought the whole thing.

it really is a beautiful car and if i remember when shane was selling it he ahad a very comprehensive list up of the mods done and some of what it needed too. disappointing didnt work out for you, but definietly give it a full write up and some better photos, give it half a chance of finding new home before splitting.

sorry to sound like an old grump but jasus id love this. wife would kill me, plus another kid on the way so funds are tight enough.

.
Splitting the chassis and body wouldn't be such a crime IMHO, drop a crusty beige 70 odd body on to that, sort a big motor and you'd have a fantastic sleeper.

didn't you pick up a lovely black beetle lately?

Don't want to give away too much about this.
The short story is the owner no longer wanted it and gave it away for free.
Here's a picture of it under cover on the way home.
