Fair enough, it'd be nice to see it remain in Ireland, but whats a seller supposed to do? Mothball it & hope that the economy picks-up enough so that an Irish buyer comes along?
No matter where it goes, its still a great advert for whats going on in the Irish VW scene.

I agree. I thinks it's cool to have a truly original and interesting car come out of Ireland. It doesn't really matter where it ends up so long as it remains in the public eye.
I'm just glad I got to have a good look at it in the flesh last year.

Definitely, and you could have a proper look too - no bullshit - no locked doors/windows/sourpuss owners glaring at you. All you had to do was ask & you were shown.
Same goes for WayneMac & any of his stuff - he spent 20mins showing me around his DC pickup at VAGE in Fermoy last year. Fantastic machine.

The Split is truely a fantastic car. I've seen this car in Volksworld both years running now, including terenure, and i can honestly say it's turned the usual followed trends entirely on it's head. It's in a category of it's own... The very best of luck with the sale Waynemac.

That sucks Wayne. That's how I buy allot of the Buses I send over, people just don't want to be messed around and they know I will pay a fair price and I pay upfront. The sellers just can't be bothered to list a car on the samba, because they get tons of ignorant emails, even though they know after wading through all of the mess they "might" get a few more $$ for it, it's just easier and less hasel to sell it to me. Good luck on enjoying your drive to Bad Camberg!
