I'm selling the B2 Passat.
1.3 petrol
4spd manual
99k kms (61k miles)
custom coilovers on front
mk2 Golf coilovers on rear
13" mk1 Golf GTI wheels with good tyres all round
original spare only used for 1 mile (by me) other than that it's brand new
new front brake disks
new front brake pads
new front brake hoses
new front wheel bearings
new rear brake shoes
new rear silencer
new heavy duty battery
original dealer fit tow bar
German DIN-style number plate with Irish ZV reg on it
taxed til November 2014
metallic red paint (extra cost option from the factory)
40mpg
9.5/10 interior, almost immaculate except for one stain on the rear seat and one bit of wear on the drivers seat
carpet almost perfect too
huge file of history
cheap vintage tax €56
cheap insurance available
perfect as a cheap cool retro daily driver
loads of adjustment on the coilovers if you really want to scrape the ground. It's perfect for daily driving as it sits, no problems with speed bumps etc.
original front shocks available and brand new Monroe rear shocks available if you want to return to stock. Three of the four original steels available (shocking bad tyres though) if you want to go back to 100% factory. The fourth was mangled in a blowout incident towing it home on day #1, it's square now.
it in current daily driver use and is very reliable. The only issue I've had was one small hose to the heater matrix let go but I've replaced it. Oh, new alternator belt too!
it was cavity waxed from new, as witnessed by the little drilled holes and plugs all over the place. The only rust on it is just the bottom corners behind the two rear wheels (see photos). They must have missed that spot with the waxing. There are scrapes along the right flank but it's 100% original 1982 paint.
price €3000 with the little bit of rust repaired. cheaper if you want to do it yourself or you decide you can live with it.
